Introduction

I can’t forget how the moon once appears as a flat circle to me, instead of what I know of as a sphere. I found the phenomenon is so ubiquitous yet unique as the point of view despite being singular, it is also an efforted imagination. I believe our imagination is gifted and restless, and unhiding such duality of perception has been one of the themes in my practice. The bare materiality and exposed structures are the result of a minimal approach while they engage with the architectural elements in the space. I use space as a mean of revealing, to design construction to conduct movements and ceremonial gestures, which I think is at the core of directing viewer’s subjectivity. I envision a moment of understanding of what one cares, can survives through the passage, and be arrived, at the destination.
